Julia Cashin

Julia is GatherLab’s program director. She is a strategic convener and networker who spent the last 20 years building connections throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

As the head of Global Business Network's membership (Monitor/Deloitte), Julia convened global communities of strategic thinkers around long term thinking, social innovation, and sustainability themes. More recently, Julia has consulted in both the private and nonprofit sectors on marketing and research initiatives with companies such as IDEO and Skoll Global Threats Fund.

Julia lives with her family in Marin County.

Nick Aster

Nick is GatherLab’s editorial director. He is a strategic sustainability professional and media architect with a successful track record guiding companies and organizations on CSR, sustainability and positive impact.

Nick was the founder and editor of TriplePundit.com, CTO at TreeHugger.com and managed the re-launch of Motherjones.com.

I currently live in San Francisco with my wife, Jo, whose books you should check out, and our son Charlie who likes to chase pigeons.


Kwaku Osei

Kwaku Osei founded Cooperative Capital, a cooperative private equity fund that enables citizens to pool their money together to make promising investments within their community. He was previously an Executive Associate at Rock Ventures where he worked on special projects with Dan Gilbert and served as CEO to Project X LLC, a $1MM+ tech spinout of Rock Ventures. Prior to Rock Ventures he was at Deloitte Consulting in DC, where he focused on technology, business process reengineering, strategic change and communications for various clients.

Honing his entrepreneurial spirit, Kwaku has started 7 businesses since he was 14; he earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Honor's College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors.

Robyn Willson

Robyn is GatherLab’s graphic designer. She is a multi-talented creative interested in supporting impact- and sustainability-oriented companies through design and brand building.

She has a BFA in Fashion Design and Textiles from California College of the Arts. As a community builder and leader at CCA, Robyn facilitated college-wide events, ran student council digital marketing campaigns, was invited to host a talk on Fashion + Sustainability at the 1st Annual CCA Colloquium on Art + Design, even finding time to take an MBA course.

Robyn lives in Berkeley, soaking up the sun and inspirations.
